Born in Natore in 1974, Samyasathee Bhowmik had shown profound love to literature since childhood, and his devotion gained acceleration during his study of English Literature at Dhaka University. As part of literary practice, his translation of 25 Lalon songs were enshrined in the book Baul Sangeet published by Shilpakala Academy in 2010.
Poetry runs in Samyasathee's veins. For him, poetry is neither the stream of unbridled emotions, nor an experiment with language burdened with figures of speech and stylistic features. Maintaining technicalities moderately, he prefers to delve deep into the psyche of human beings and society as well. His poetry is a blending of emotions, logic, love for humanity, psycho-analysis, sense of alienation and above all an empathy for the distressed man engulfed by the astounding speed of post-millennium phenomenon, characterized by artificial face and intelligence. Mishaps in family forced him to spend 10 barren years in his literary career. Nevertheless, his books of poetry titled Suprovat, Jibito Lok! and Amra Sorbonam were published from Anyaprokash in 2021 and 2022 respectively during the Amar Ekushey Book Fair. Those books grabbed the attention of poetry lovers. He is Associate Professor of English at Rajshahi College, and is a passionate teacher by profession.
