Submission Guidelines
Dead Metaphor is passing the first quarter of 2022, and we are happy to announce freshly written pieces by our esteemed writers. We would welcome creative writings for our second quarter for the year, both in Bangla and English. Please send your poems, stories, non-fictional prose, featured articles, travelogues, book reviews, interviews and jokes that you feel like sharing with readers across the globe. We need your affiliation, a profile photo, contact e-mail address and phone number with your submission. We accept publication on rolling basis, and we will upload the accepted work regularly. You will receive feedback from us on your write-ups between 8-10 weeks. Please do not submit your work to any other platforms concurrently.

N.B. We neither pay for any of the writeups published on our site, nor charge any publication fees.

Please adhere to the submission guidelines below should you wish to publish your work in Dead Metaphor:

Guidelines:
1. Title in Bangla: 12 points Avro (Bold); Title in English: 14 Points Times New Roman (Bold)

2. Body Text in Bangla: 10 points Avro; Body Text in English: 12 points Times New Roman

3. All submissions in Bangla and English should be in Word format. However, for Bangla writings, a PDF needs to be sent with the word document.

4. Short stories, reviews, interviews should be written between 1000 and 3000 words.

5. Submission of poems is limited to 5 per contributor. Poems may not exceed 50 lines.

6. Translated pieces of all categories must be accompanied with their originals scanned and transformed into PDF documents. Only translations from original languages into Bangla and English will be accepted.

7. It will be the responsibility of the author to secure permission in case her/his work makes use of any copyrighted material.

8. Travelogues, and book, film and theatre reviews must contain images with appropriate captions within the text. Interviews must be accompanied by images of the interview, or the interviewer and the interviewee. Images must be original. Copied or borrowed images will not be published. Authors are encouraged to send preferred image(s) if they want their works to be accompanied by any.

9. Image requirements: send either jpeg or jpg image (300 dpi). Images must be of high resolution.

10. When emailing clearly indicate the category of your work with title in the subject line.
