The Asharh eve densely closes by,
Well-nigh done is the day.
Torrential rains have boundlessly set in,
Don’t know what I am thinking of-
Sitting at a cozy corner of my home alone.
The light breeze in Juthi garden
Keeps whispering something-
I can’t figure out.
A tidal surge has swept through
My heart now- the limits of which
I can’t fathom.
The perfumes of the shower-drenched wild buds-
Engulf my heart with tears.
With what melodious lyric shall I fill-
These hours of the night, I don’t know.
An ardent and impassioned spirit-
I wish I could forget now-
All the errors and lapses in life.
